Deborah Ann Foran, Certified Physician Assistant
Deborah Ann Foran, a certified physician assistant, joined the staff of Lewisburg Gynecology & Obstetrics, PC in 2003.
She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School 1972. Deb married and moved to this area in 1976. She was a stay-at-home mom to her three children for 17 years. When her youngest child began first grade, she decided to enroll in college. Deb graduated Summa cum Laude with a Bachelor of Health Science degree from Lock Haven University in 1999. She received her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the same university in 2001, where she was elected the president of her class. During her six years at Lock Haven University, Deb was awarded four scholarships and two academic achievement awards. She was certified by the NCCPA in 2001.
The Physician Assistant Program at Lock Haven University included a year of clinical rotations in various medical specialties. When Deb completed her rotation in obstetrics and gynecology, she knew she had found her calling. She continued her education with a concentration in women's health care.
Deb has done volunteer work for many organizations including the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes, the Girl scouts of America and the Lycoming County Adult Literacy Program. She has also volunteered for various community health outreach programs.
Her outside interests include gardening, reading, needlework and travel. She especially enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. Deb has two grown sons, Bill and Keith and a daughter, Kaitlin who lives at home. She also has two granddaughters, Maya and Lena.
Deb is available to provide well women visits, gynecological exams, urgent gynecological problems, and pre-natal visits as well as other obstetrical and gynecological health needs.
